About 10% of the population is GLTB which is a minority. But the repeal of the DADT legislation was due to a majority vote, presumably heterosexuals. Hello? Obviously, this issue is not about sexual orientation but about something else... like equality. And that's something homophobes need to get through their thick skulls.

Gary, you are only equal if you agree with me, see things my way, and try "to act straight" like I do.

This is not an ideological issue: the resistance if emotional, founded on fear and ignorance.

Sorry, I'm not sure I understand what you are saying in your reply to Gary, I must be a bit thick, ha!

I understand what Gary is saying, I think.
I think he is saying that even though GLTB is only 10%, the vote was a majority.
Of the 90% non-GLTB group there was a majority that saw equality as more inportant than sexuality.

And that is a very interesting point, it proves that homophobes are in the small (but vocal) minority? ... and there is hope in the world?
I think so.
Maybe that is what you were saying or agreeing with?
Sorry for my thickness.

Greg confused in cool Adelaide.

Thanks for the mention. This is a great victory for us, but we have to remember there is still so much more for us to do for full equality.
