Is this for real Justin? If so, guess I will live to see the day for a COMPLETE turn-around in the RCC!!! Now maybe the numbers in the congregations will grow a bit. Good news for the Catholics!!

You will note that the Pope authorizes it for prevention of AIDS, and does not endorse it as a moral option. How's that for face saving? It looks like he's waking up to his own irrelevancy in the modern world, and that this is a major victory. Condoms will soon be passed out by priests to prevent disease, but in reality for birth control. What a blessed relief.

Condoms passed out by priests? Why? Catholics are smart enough, didn't you know, to buy them for themselves. . .after all, many of us were well educated K-12 and even in some instances at university. . .well taught in all things by the valiant Sisters. . . ..and catholics have been buying them openly for over 40 years when the laity began making up their own minds/ consciences!

J posted this comment. . .

How educated are they in the third world? It hasn't been that long ago that His Holiness was railing against birth control during a tour of the poor nations of Central and South America.
And what about Africa?
I can think of no better proselytizers for this new doctrine than some of the liberation theology priests in Latin America.
