Jonathan wonders. . . . . . .

What might the divorce rate of gay couples be?  Not that it proves much given the short span of time gay marriage has been legal, but do you also see gay couples enhancing the status of marriage by sticking with their commitment, maintaining their loyalty, and seldom seeking a divorce?  Why should we gays  know any better, or keep our fidelity more sacred, or ennoble the married state through more profound  and longer-lasting commitment?   But we do.  Why indeed should we be the ones defending marriage against those who too easily seek a divorce?

The obvious answer here is that gays don't have to uphold marriage. They only should be free to be just as miserable as married straights are.

Does the state of grumpitude sorta go along with old age? I've frequently heard it associated with old people. . .

But
I have seen some downright grumpy kids and some older kids with morning hang-overs. . .now THAT is grumpy! Huuuaaaaahhhhhh. bad

LOL

Grumpitude is associated with cynicism, and cynicism is something you develop with age and experience. When you're young and idealistic, cynicism hardly exists.

It's like old hands... knarled and leathery after years of toil, unlike the soft, pink hands of a child.

The thing is, cynicism on its own can be sour and bitter. But when mixed with a liberal dose of humor, it can be very entertaining. Hehe.

Well, gentlemen, I was gestated a grumpy, dirty old man.

And that's the essential difference between J and I. He was born that way and I'm still working on it.
