Former U.S. Sen. Rick Santorum (R-Pa.) opposes gay marriage, opposes civil unions, wants to reinstate “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell,” and tells FOX News’ Chris Wallace that gays have the “right” to “employment” (and paying taxes, presumably), but deserve no “privileges.”

If Ricky Sanctus Sanctorum Holy of Holies Santorum ever gets elected president it would be cuz he really had the following and the vote. . . . if he does. . . .phew!. . . get ready for "a day of reckoning".
With his sanctimonious crap=speak WE ALL will be living in the Snake Pit. . .at the lowest level of society. . . .if they have their way and we are allowed to stay. . . .are we as a nation as bankrupt to elect the likes of this Holy Roller.????

Republicans would need PA to take the election. Rick lost here in PA by a large margin when he lost his Senate seat. There is no way he can take the nomination, let alone the election.
BTW, Google Santorum. :)
No worries. According to that church in Oregon (I think it's Oregon) The Day of Reckonning will be May 21, 2011. So we'll never have to worry about that sort of thing. I've already stoppped paying my bills.
BTW, I did google. . . roflmsoao !!!
Too funny. S'all I am saying: I be good boy. . .I don't say all I think. LOL
Stew baby, I be paying mine. . .just in case. . LOL
No priveleges for gays and lesbians?
So who's asking for priveleges? I thought the whole issue was about equality not priveleges.
Right on, Gary. . .nailed right down. . .yes it is about equality, not privileges. . . be sure we got the right words there. . .that we are all on the same page in the opera. . .biding our time till the Fat Lady sings. . . .
Santorum is a loser, pure and simple. Intelligent Republicans know that they won't win back the White House or the Senate by trumpeting the Christian right agenda of social issues. They will win by defeating the deficit. The pure tea party message of fiscal conservatism is the killer message of the decade, if not the century.
I always spell privileges 'priveleges' first thing in the morning.
Coop, are you saying that we're not better than everyone else?
Here's Dan Savage's 'take' on Santorum:http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Santorum_(sexual_neologism)
And that is very true. . .I can attest for my buddy's views. . .LOL
Sorry, babe, I couldn't resist. . . ;-)

Here's part of an email I received this morning from an 85 y/o mate of mine from North Carolina. He served in the US Military during WWII, including a stint in London during the Blitz:
It also seems that Canadians are far ahead of the U.S. in matters of letting people manage their own personal affairs. Same sex marriage was simply not the States' business, while we progressive Americans are locked in fierce battles over it. And it was a national fracas for years to allow military to serve openly. Thousands of good men and women have been trained at great expense only to be lost when some disgruntled asshole whispered "gay" and they were booted out of their careers. We have just this year dumped the old policy. (I'm certain I served with gay guys in WWII who could shoot as as straight as I could. A Russian pilot told me that half the Ruskies who ran Germans out of the country got their jollies with each other during that campaign in the deep Russian snows.)
