" Kiss -In "

G'day Justin,

I noted this article on the BBC...

A mass same-sex "kiss-in" has been staged outside a pub in central London where two men said they were ejected on Wednesday for kissing each other.

Because of my upbringing during the '50s and 60s, I still feel uncomfortable at the sight of two men kissing in public. It seems odd to me, and even repulsive.

I'm not sure I could ever accept it as normal behavior. I've seen it often enough in clubs and at parties, but not in public. Even holding hands in public bothers me.

So here's a question for JustinO: Do you and Peter kiss in front of parents and siblings? Or do keep such behavior private?

Interesting. The more we do this ANYWHERE, ANYTIME the better/easier it will be for you younger guys when you are older and in need of a kiss or two. And the easier it will be for 'older' people to accommodate. The 'visual will become 'old hat'!

BTW, I hope my question is not offensive. I don't mean to pry. I'm just interested in people's attitudes.

The pertinant question is, does the pub tolerate displays of affection by heteros? This is the first question that should have been asked.
On another point, its nice to see that London SoHo and New York SoHo are the same.

I suggest a Kiss In here in P'Town -
but I guess that would be like any other day here ;-)

Gary, challenging some of our inhibitions can be freeing - I've had many inhibitions and phobias and feel great enrichment when I confront them, real growth. I don't mean to preach, I still have some I need to overcome.

Not to worry, Gary. I just haven't had the time to reply the way I'd like to. . .will take a little time to get my ideas written up.

And no time tonight. . . .;-))
