4pm- 6pm "Get the Party Started" VIP Welcome Party,
Brass Key Guesthouse, 67 Bradford Street
(VIP Pass Holders Only)
"Raise Your Glass" and start off Carnival Week in the Pink. This exclusive VIP party features 42 Below Cocktails being mixed by handsome Go-Go Boys. Bud Light, Bud Lime, and Barefoot Wines will also be served along with delicacies from our local restaurants. All while enjoying the beautiful outdoor patio at the Brass Key Guesthouse.

4pm - 8pm - "Express Yourself" Carnival 2011 Opening Dance Party and Costume Contest
Attention Beyoncés, Robyns, Gagas: Slip into your pop-star best—or interpret Carnival’s “Can’t Stop the Music” theme in any way you desire—to work it on the costume-contest runway. America’s Next Drag Superstar Raja, winner of RuPaul's Drag Race Season 3, hosts the showdown at this festive block party, featuring cash prizes for best costumes ($250 grand prize), a full cash bar, food vendors, music by DJ Darren Friedman and al fresco dancing in the center of town, all at the Bas Relief lawn behind Town Hall. Sponsored by 42 Below Vodka. Produced by David Flower Productions.
Dance Party and Costume Contest is 21 and older.

12pm to 3pm – 6th Annual GLAAD “beachBums” benefit event,
Crown & Anchor, 247 Commercial St.

The Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation (GLAAD) returns to Provincetown’s famous Crown & Anchor during Carnival Week for their 6th Annual GLAAD "beachBums" live auction & fashion show event, presented by RÖKK® Vodka! Featuring guest host and DJ, “beachBums” enjoy hosted RÖKK® Vodka cocktails, 1-Year GLAAD memberships and gift bags and support GLAAD’s important work to amplify the voice of the LGBT community.  Bid on your favorite designer swim gear, sported by sexy models, and participate in the “Stars Promoting Fairness” (SPF) Celebrity Silent Auction, providing “SPF” protection and bidding on autographed memorabilia by famous Hollywood faces that support GLAAD’s important work.Early Bird Tickets $25 – General / $45 - VIP [by July 31] - proceeds to benefit GLAAD. No one hit wonder here - this party has been a Carnival classic for years. Enjoy great food, great drinks and a celebrity guest. "Why wait until the middle of a cold dark night" to start the party.

5:30pm to 9pm - "The Tide Is High" Boat Cruise,
MacMillan Pier
"Picture This"... cruising on Cape Cod Bay with the Provincetown skyline as a backdrop and the rhythms of DJ Lee Thornhill moving your body. You'll think you are "Dreaming" as you watch the stunning sunset and return to the lights of Provincetown after enjoying the ultimate dance party. Sponsored by Bay State Cruises and Ptown Parties. Boarding begins at 5:30pm and the ship sails at 6pm. Absolutely no boarding after 5:55pm. -please arrive early.

7pm to 9pm - "Girls Just Want to Have Fun" Sailing Charter,

It will be "A Night To Remember" as you join us for this women's only evening of cocktails, light food and laughter aboard the Rachel B. Jackson, with the "True Colors" of the summer sunset as your backdrop.

8:00am - "Wheels Are Turning" Bike Tour
Meet at the Bas Relief behind Town Hall (Bradford & Ryder)
Attention early risers! Perfect chance to enjoy the Cape Cod National Seashore! There are 2 options for riding: "...Sand Dunes and Salty Air" 12 mile route or "I Want to Ride My Bicycle" 24 mile route. Ride will last 60-90 minutes with a surprise at the end. Participants are asked to donate $20 in support of Team Life, a local group of riders who will be riding in the Harbor to the Bay Bike Ride on September 17th. The AIDS Support Group of Cape Cod receives 100% of all the funds the Team raises. Requirements: Bring your adjusted bike, helmet, proper attire, sunscreen & bottled water. 8pm - Charo in Concert at Town Hall

María del Rosario Pilar Martínez Molina Gutiérrez de los Perales Santa Ana Romanguera y de la Hinojosa Rasten, better known as Charo, is a Spanish-American actress, comedienne, and flamenco guitarist, best known for her flamboyant stage presence, her provocative outfits, and her trademark phrase ("cuchi-cuchi"). Coming off critically acclaimed performances at Splash in New York and the White Party in Palm Springs, The Provincetown Business Guild is proud to welcome Charo to the stage of Town Hall. Combing techno, salsa and flamenco guitar, Charo promises an exciting, high energy show with a lot of the "Sexy, Sexy" (which, appropriately, is the title of her new single).

Cover $12 - benefits Helping Our Women.  Dress up, bring your own cd and perform.  Great raffle prizes.

2pm - 5pm - "Walk This Way" Inn Stroll
No need to "Dream On", you can visit some of Provincetown's finest guesthouses on this inn stroll and "Rock The House" with food and drink at each of the stops: Aerie House and Beach Club, Brass Key, Crowne Pointe Historic Inn & Spa, John Randall House, Sunset Inn and White Wind Inn.

9pm - "Just Dance" Closing Party,

"Eh, Eh (Nothing Else I Can Say)" other than the Crown & Anchor is the place to be to wrap up Carnival Week. No, Richard, I do not think so. Likely we won't even be in Provincetown. We are leaving Friday for school, then on to Montreal, and will be back at school . . . .so no Carnival for us. . . ;-((. . . .BUT there will be hundreds others. . .. Are you going to be there? ;-)

For years I have made it a rule not to be in Ptown during Carnival week. We usually come up the week after Carnival.
