I just want to know if Gary is related to Ned Kelly, who's bones were recovered and scientifically indentified.

There was talk that my folks were related to Ned, and also a notorious bushranger named Jack Donahue, The Wild Colonial Boy. My mother even said our ancestors arrived on the second fleet. But it appears that my great grandparents arrived on a ship from Ireland in the 1860s or thereabouts, maybe to escape the great potato famine. They weren't even convicts, which disappointed me no end. I've tried to make up for the family's lack of notoriety by being arrested a couple of times but I missed out on all the cool stuff like being hung. In fact, I didn't even make the local rag's headlines. Sorry to let you down, J.

Thanks, Gary. The Ned Kelly's bones story has a lot of legs here in the States. Apparently he was a folk hero of sorts, like our Jesse James or John Wesley Hardin. As for me, I was actually hung in effigy at my college for a feature story I wrote in the school paper. I guess there's still time for them to string us both up. Happy birthday!

67 is still pretty young these days. I'm sure you can still find some kind of trouble to get yourself into Gary.

Hope your birthday was one of the best ever.

The good Archbishop is agin everything pleasurable--except dirty Irish jokes and his expensive Scoth whiskey.
Re the good advice for gay partners, it works wonders for traditional M/F relationships. In a long hetero marriage I learned a lot of it the hard way. No pun intended!

A belated happy birthday, Gary. Those 'arrested' stories are quite interesting. Anyhow, I wish you the best!
