Sounds like a break is much needed. It's nice to have a home to go home to....My parents are off the deep end and living in assisted living now.You are soooo right. Communication is key. Sometimes distance can really hinder that. Share everything with him and hopefully he'll do the same. It's difficult to know what's going on when you are not there. Enjoy your week off.
Oh how I envy you. I'm going through the roughest two weeks of the year, and will be working Sunday and over Thanksgiving weekend. ( Maybe Christmas will be better. )
A lobster trap Christmas tree? How am I supposed to top that?Anyway, I hope you and Portugese Pete manage to rekindle the flickering flame. And happy Thanksgiving.
The holidays are upon us! Even capitalist me is irked by ads for STUFF to give and STUFF to turn one's abode into Santas Village, I won't give a lecture about how the holidays should involve getting together with loved ones and (for those who choose to do so) celebrating Christ's birth.See... I can stay off the pulpit. :P I'm hoping for the best for Justin and Pete the fisherman whose also a baker. (Or is it Pete the baker whose also a fisherman?)I played hide the Diet Pepsi today. Pour a glass, set it down, walk in circles trying to find it. Pour another... find the first by not looking for it.
