G'day JustinO,

The other day I mentioned climbing a tree as a kid and peeking into the ladies dressing room at a beach, and thinking, "Is that all there is?"

One of my fav songs, sung originally by Peggy Lee, is thus titled. I've heard that it's a fav with gay people but I'm not sure about that. It goes back a few years. Peggy Lee was one of the all-time great American jazz singers.

G'day, Gary. . . .
Tho' it's 42 yrs old I've heard that song. . . .in a gay club, done by a guest singer. . .Listening this morning. . .and the sun is even shining. . . it hit me as incredibly sad. . . . There HAS to be more. . . . .and I know there is. . .AND  I shall keep on dancing, too, because there IS MORE !  ;-). . . ..  .JustinO

It's hard to imagine anyone doing that song better than Peggy Lee did. To me, her understated approach perfectly matched lyrics that were sad, funny and ironic all at the same time.

Yep, that's Peggy's song for sure. Perfect voice, perfect phrasing.
