The SALACIA

This is one of the 'ferries' which regularly makes the 90 minute trip from Boston to Provincetown and return.  I love the name of this vessel. .  .quite appropriate, I think, given the "reputation" of Provincetown. . . LOL

When the ocean is choppy, especially on the return trip, and a passenger or two is 'hung over', they have been known to need plain brown paper bags for the 'upchuck'. . .I've seen "green faced" guys hurrying off the boat. . lol

I've always wanted to take the ferry from Ptown to Boston some summer, but never done it yet. Been to Boston many times on business, but I'd just like to take the ride. I'd also like to try out the Monsted Cod speed boat which they have in Boston.

We've always wanted to take the ferry to Boston....next time we will! With Gravol that is!

Interesting name. Is that the feminine declension of salacious, or the name of Neptune's wife. I prefer the former interpretation given its destination on the Cape.

The former, def the former interpretation, J. . .and well named it is. . . lol One would never designate Provincetown a quiet, quaint New England fishing village. . but rather "a quaint drinking village with a fishing problem'. . . A noisy, bawdy town with lots of emphasis on body. . .lol

I agree with Kermit... it's not easy being green. I've been seasick a few times and wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy. Then again...

It's a lovely Cat. Looks like those Cats they build in Tasmania for export.

I heard on the radio the other day that to prevent seasickness, take one pill the night before, and another in the morning (or a couple of hours before the trip).

Last time I was seasick, I was leaning over the side of a 30' fishing boat with lots of burly floating around in shark infested waters. Hehe. It's a wonder I'm still here.
