Good Morning All the World. . . .I feel so expansive today.
Why?  Because I am at home on The Cape, it is Spring, time for Passover and Easter and the Spring-time Full Moon. . . . . and
I feel so alive!

Yesterday, after classes, I packed up, collected Mme Bouvier and together we headed home to our special place in the world.  Peter had arranged his schedule so he was able to clear out Thursday morning. . . ahead of the Easter-Passover weekend.

The "Florida-type temps" of a few weeks ago retreated with a SNAP! which is confusing to the psyche.  LOL Bright sunshine, like it usually is  in Paradiso. . . .you know, that special quality of sun which intensifies all the colors. . . .like it does to this patch of tulips at the corner of the porch aka veranda. . . .  Nice.  Temps will be around 50*f. . . even to the mid-50*s. . . . We have a visitor this morning. . . . . . .
a brilliant cardinal singing his heart out. . . .inviting a duller-colored
lady cardinal to join him.  The males are so much more flashing in their scarlet feathers, and their song is far more alluring.  Every now and then, out of the corner of my eye I see a flash of red among the shrubs near the house and the scrub-pine edging along the Dunes.  And then there is a brilliant flash of sound which stills everything. . . much like Jonathan Antoine startling Simon into stilled awe. . . .

Today, Good Friday, will be a quiet day here chez O'Shea. . . and around 3 o'clock we will be with our neighbors at the parish church for services.  Nice to be quiet this morning, doing nothing, just soaking up the ambiance. . . .

More to come. . . . .Justin

It all sounds wonderful, JustinO ... the yellow tulips, the scarlet Cardinals, the bright sunshine and blue sky. Noticing and appreciating these things is what makes the difference.

Gary. . You know. . something I realize has grown in me over the years is the ability and even need for time. . time and space alone. . .so I can think my own thoughts and feel my own feelings.

A big part of this is contentment just to be still and "drink in" all the things going on around me. . and within me. . . knowing what I am feeling and at times even why I am feeling. . .I call this living consciously. . .being fully alive.

It would be a loss to ignore all this. . . I think, if I try to describe it, it is becoming one with, a real part of all that is around me. . .

There is a new TV series about a woman cop who remembers everything that happens to her and around her and can go back to a specific day and time and tell you everything that happened that "moment". . .I cannot do what she does but I sorta do understand her experience and am often in synch with her 'not-forgotten events'. . . only few people in the world can do what she does. . . .and I am not one of them. . lol. . but I "understand" her. . .being able to be present in the now. . really present..aware...tuned in. . .adds a whole different dimension to life. .

I jokingly tell others I see and hear too much, more than I need to. . . .and doing that, having done that. . .makes me "responsible" to others, to those around me, even on the fringes of my life. . .and that makes my life more full, more alive, more involved with "the world in which I live, and move and have my existence". . .

It has been a very good day today. ;-) JustinO

It's nice when you see someone realize all of this, that is around them. Suddenly, the world is a wonderful place. And I say, "Welcome to my world".

Such a colour-coordinated post! Boy, you are on a roll!
I see you are a 'sponge'....in the good sense. Our Naturopath introduced us to this term she uses for people who are so in tune with everything around them, they can become over-whelmed at times. It is sometimes beyond their control. I tend to be this way and have found that I have to 'back away' from certain situations. But then again, I am old and don't have the energy of a 20 something anymore!! lol

It is more than endorphins Justin, it is you and your young spirit, getting close to the end of your school year and the load you have taken on. Oh to be free for a couple of days. There is no place like Home....

S'funny, while away this Easter, on a 5 hour drive each way, then spending the whole time, once there, outdoors. Sleeping the night under the stars in my swag (slightly drunk by then).... I was well aware of "seeing" everything. Trees, the road, the fantastic display of clouds and scudding showers in the distance over the plains as we travelled. The colours, the smell of rain showers and other delights. How wonderful it is to be alive. Truly alive.

My eyes were open, in fact I conciously celebrated it all, that these delights were there for me to experience, and for me to be part of.

Then, I get back home and see that Justin is sharing his awareness. How appropriate.
Getting out of the routine parts of our lives is certainly renewing.

I hope everyone had such a great time.

"Awareness" is a good word, Greg.
