Working drywall? That is one home improvement task that I truly loathe.

There must be something terribly wrong with me psychologically. Maybe Freud could explain why the first thing that enters my head when I see such a pic is deodorant.

ho ho ho. . Gary, you break me up.
I do not think I'd go, literally, to Herr Dkr Freude to study your question. Instead I'd look more among the later researches, esp those who work with environmental/ associative factors factors from our earlier - and later, too - lives.

So, look at your associations. . .a bare arm pit. . a "sexy" area for some, m or l.. . more or less.
You see that. . your reaction? erotic or hygenic? OK..cleanliness. . .why?
Is a learned and innate desire to be clean. . nice, pleasing,. .tied in with your very strong choice of being an honest, even authentic man - -as you see him - no b.s.. ."what you see is what you get". .and all your relational integrated social virtues. [ahem. . .LOL. .true, Gary? hmmm?]. . .
But why do you/ have you separated these positive things in Gary from sensual pleasure, which is an integral part of our human nature. I say "separate" because it seems - maybe? - that your noble virtues I point out have not integrated with or allowed to associate comfortably with the psycho-sexual drives. There seems to be a studied avoidance of being too close. .therefore the deoderant to keep things "clean". . lest you be sullied by beinbg too human. .too sensual, sexual.
WHO told you your sensuality would be/ is "dirty", . . .so therefore sanitize it and stay "pure"?

Whaat-chaa think?

I'd simply be hoping there is no stinky deodorant to assault my senses

I like the biceps!

Well done, Dr Sherlock O'Shea. Yes, I figure why bother with noble virtues when it's much easier to be infuriatingly picky. After reading your analysis, I suspect that in my lifelong search for Mr Right, I've actually been looking for Mr Perfect, which explains a great deal.

Thank you, Gary, for confirming my opinion. .for the therapist offers an opinion, a possible explanation, etc. .but only the subject himself can affirm or deny or qualify it.

Yes, Mr. Perfect. . .he he. . well as I often say/more often think.LOL
"Well O'Shea, if you want to know it has been well and correctly done, do it yourself"!!!!

ciao ciao. . .
