HELLO  EVERYONE

Sorry I've been so "absent" of late.  I just flew in from Tampa, Florida,  yesterday afternoon. . .where the temp was around 82*f.
It has been very nice being warm again. . . .;-)  When I left New
England was enjoying some crisp mornings and afternoons and evenings.  Walking out of TIA was a bit like walking into a wet hot face cloth. . . .LOL.  (There, that's an image for ya!  LOL)

I was attending a psych seminar at the University of Southern Florida.  Very hospitable folk.  FUN being with "young professionals". . recent PhDs . . . .(as one wag remarked "Piled Higher and Deeper". . .ho ho ho  No one flung dung at him. . . . ), grad students from all over,
and of course, our various mentors to see to it we didn't deviate too far off the published topics. etc.  The youngsters are given to play. . . ahem.

IT was interesting week. . . .with ample time for "Fun n' Games" on and off campus.  I am beginning to see what I've often heard. . .there is a greater relaxation among the Southern Gents and Gals too. . .and we New Englanders do tend to be a bit more "straight laced" aka "tight assed". . .ho ho ho.  And some of our colleagues we've met over the years at such gatherings have become buds who've undertaken "the work of charity" of loosening us up!  lol

And we are having a taste of Winter. . . .Oh MotherNature, go slow. . please.  The NorthEast is tasting the seasonal change in varying degrees. . . .

I trust all is well with all y'all.

ciao ciao ~~~

Heehee! We've had a taste of summer here, so far only one or two days over 30C then cooling off for a week of about low-mid 20s again with coolish nights in the low teens, crisp mornings, sweet!
But before long we'll have long stretches in the 30s and a week or two at a time in the 40s no doubt. That's a bit hard, so I too want a slow transition into the season change, I can cope with that.... no choice haha!

Glad to see you are getting out and about Justin, broader horizons are always good, eh.
Sure, you read and hear other views, but seeing them, experiencing them in their context is important....and exciting, if it is something you are passionate about.

And thanks for keeping this blog alive... purely selfish of me, but I just like having this thought of someone on the other side of the world, in a different world, that is a bit like me in some respects, someone who would understand me a bit..a kindred spirit I guess, it's a nice feeling.
I'm just sorry I don't ever have much constructive stuff to add, it's a bit of a one way street and for that I apologise.

Keep enjoying life, no matter what it throws at you. I love that I am privileged to experience a window to your life. Thank you my fine fellow.

Bah Yank! there's no difference in north or south. You were on their home field. So they SHOULD be more loose and relaxed.

Fun place tho, Tampa... and Clearwater, and St Pete's.

I've been curious the past few years how you learned - all y'all. Most yanks would imitate the south with only - y'all.

ohhh... snow! Let's move to the 'far side' with 'one r' Gary.

Justin, been in florida over 40yrs, and have not heard much of y'all. Lol You were only 30miles from Lakeland. Sorry I missed your flight up in sky. When I moved here long ago, son was only 7, and told him, I didn't want to hear him saying the word busss, in southern slang. None of them really let me down. Son graduated from S. Florida with
his masters. I will stop bragging
for he is way too smart for me.
We have this beautiful weather almost all year, would trade for
a fall and winter in New England.
I haven't wanted to go back to
Detroit. All 5 homes I owned there, have been burnt to the ground. Even the beautiful brick
flat--no one stone upon a stone.
That is another story for another
time. Glad you enjoyed our folks
and their hospitality.

It is 6 AM.Getting an early start on my day.Lots of stuff today. . .;-)

Gd'day, Coops. . .Your comment <>

perplexes me. . .and set me thinking. . .hmmm. Your "Always got something to say about. . ." stopped me in my thinking track. Hmmm? I didn't realize that. . .the "Always part. . "
(1) As a therapist the people who come to me at the clinic - I am in my second year there- are often gay people having/working thru some sort of issues about being GAY. . .looking for some help/direction for living happily as gay men or women.

As a result the articles I use from Michael's blog GAYTWOGETHER.COM often deal with ideas and behaviour issues affecting our lives, in one way or another, and so affect our relationships as couples, lovers, wannabe lovers/BFs, etc. Maybe that is why you assess me as being against our kind. Always got something to say about how uptight we are."

2, If I ignored the comments you guys make to me, and esp those who I see in therapy, wouldn't it be most unfeeling/
unsympathetic, etc for me to blog away about interior decorating, style and fashion. the crazy political scene, Healthcare insurance, gay gossip, etc?

With a full day, I feel others can take care of these things. I choose to deal with the real stuff guys write to me about?I think I comment about the real stuff we gays are dealing with, angsting about.
I hear a lot about self-doubt, painful loneliness, anxiety, wishful thinking, discontent, worry, depression. . .men young and older wishing their lives were / had been different...and on n' on.
3. So I mentioned I had been in "the deep South" where some of my colleages commented that they think we Northern Gays are more up-tight, strait-laced, tight ass. . . .they were talking about me. . don't you hear it? And I was simply commenting about what was going on in my life, and NOT about the Gay Kingdom in general. Just reporting.Obviously that scratched a sore in yours. . .;-)

You and I both have a good variety in our lives and major concern about being gay is not one of them. Right?
Hugs, bro!!!
