TAKE FIVE MINUTES. . .

Make yourself a cup of tea *, sit down and take five minutes from your day to watch this beautiful film.  Watch as the fog comes in on little cat’s feet, swirling down the hills of San Francisco in wavelike patterns, engulfing the Golden Gate, and lighted by the rising and setting sun.  Absolutely gorgeous stuff.

Two years ago I visited my cousin in his triplex in a high rise off the Embarcadero about two blocks from the Bay Bridge. At night from the east windows I watched the clouds came over the hills from the west and float over the top of the bridge, so that the strings of white light along the suspension cables would scallop up, disappear into the clouds, and reappeared to drop again towards the water. They continued like this until the bridge met Treasure Island across the bay. That city has so many microclimates and vistas that it is rightly regarded as one of the world's most beautiful.

Yes, most impressive, but it was the photography that impressed me most, and the use of time-lapse. The guy who shot it must be a truly dedicated photographer to take on such a difficult assignment - with possibly no financial gain.
