G'day JustinO,
I've been buggerizing around making a video of driving around Taree, and have encountered just about every technical problem imaginable. BUT I FINALLY GOT IT DONE! I uploaded it to Youtube this morning.
I also did the voice over, despite my swollen tongue, which makes pronouncing words properly extremely difficult, but it's MY vid and I wanted to be "The Man" hehe. Anyway, I thought you might be interested in having a look since you're always boasting about living on the Cape.

Looks like a nice, clean town. You didn't put too many people in the film, Gary, so there's no way we can tell if Oz is afflicted with the epidemic of obesity that has engulfed the States.
I don't think Oz is too far behind the US in the obesity stakes, J. But I haven't noticed it here in Taree, except for an occasional blimp. Maybe life in the country is healthier than in big cities... more outdoor activity like walking. Even the oldies around here do a lot of walking.
I shot most of the vid on quiet days, and I think it was late Sunday when I shot the Mall interior. It's normally busier than that... but rarely crowded.
Gary, you have went and done it again. Loved your Tour. Will you take us along on your traveling accross Austrailia? You don't have to but it would be more
than--All we get in the US is on Traveling in Europe, at least in Florida. Very well done, maybe you could get yourself a travel series on TV in Aussie Country. Thanks for your Taste and Love your Country...
Thanks, Radical... that's very sweet of you. And yes, of course I'll take everyone along with me on my tour of Oz. That's the reason I'm experimenting with making videos now. I like taking still photographs as well, but vids are probably a bit more exciting.
As to doing a travel series on TV, no thanks. Hehe. Bosses and I don't get along too well. I'd rather do my own thing at my own pace.
Gary, I like your attitude. Being
your own Boss is you, the best part
of You. Thanks for taking us on
your Long Due Ride. I know that you will more than enjoy it. Thanks........
Gary, thanks for sharing that wonderful vignette with us. Watching the video, I could easily imagine that I was in any number of mid-western small towns in the US. Very nicely done!!
