Ive read an estimate of 9 million people in the US are gay. That's 9 million people, many whom fear for their safety. Many who live 'in the closet.' Children booted from their homes. Do these facts NOT spell... discrimination... or suppression?
My own fear is the SC will throw these cases back to the states, rather than do the right thing.
JIMM. . .I hold very similar questions. ideas. . ..and fears.. . . yep.. will it be "more things change the more they remain the same"? or "business as usual"?
Passing the buck, ya reckon? I suspect the SC and others in a position to make the necessary changes fear a conservative backlash from those who believe that marriage is a sacrament "efficacious signs of grace, instituted by Christ and entrusted to the Church".

I'm not as optimistic as this article states.

Religion and politics - like oil and water.
And where is the famous 'separation of church and state'????. . .I wonder. . .
