When my father was in the Naval Academy everyone had his uniforms tailored. He was once aide and flag secretary to an admiral who told him an officer should never buy anything ready made. The sailors were the same way, and outside every base were naval tailors who knew just how to cut an enlisted man's pants to cup his ass to its best advantage. You can still see a few naval tailors about.
