G'day JustinO,
For those interested my recovery from the cancer op, I went to Sydney on Monday to see the doc and he was pleased with my recovery so far. So can't complain about that. Got a PET scan appointment in Newcastle on Monday, and another appointment with the radio therapy doc in Port Macquarie the following Monday, which is when (hopefully) I'll have the food tube REMOVED!
Meanwhile, I had about 6 hours to kill in Sydney so I wandered around the city with my camera and monopod and backpack and shot as much footage as I could in the time allowed. I've spent the past 3 days editing the footage and here's the result on Youtube - Sydney Australia - Winter Monday Morning (but the weather was great). Hope you enjoy a bit of a look around my old home town.

Medical report and process sounds very encouraging! Good for the MDs and esp Good for you, Gary: your determination and positive outlook underlies your successful healing.
Hang in there, Mate!

Positive schmozitive. What about the bloody video? I slaved over putting that damn thing together... not to mention my sore legs from all the bloody walking! I was a wreck by the time I got to the doc's office.
A great montage that, strangely enough, captures the cold beauty of modernity and the isolation of crowds.
Gary, don't fret over anything, good to see that your getting back
to being Gary. I am taking all
3 of your videos for daughter to
see this afternoon. I know she will be overjoyed to see them.
You are the Best. Thank You for
your Vids, I surely enjoyed Sydney,
Can't stop Thankiiiing Youuuuu.
I am busier these days, it seems, than a one armed, one eyed dry wall applicator. . .LOL. . .but I did enjoy the tour of Sydney. . .
If you are ever in need of funding, I suggest you get hired by a fancy travel agent and prepare vacation videos for there up-scale clientele! You can make a back alley and a "cold water flat" look like the last word in chic!

Now I know that Sydney is one of the most beautiful cities in the world! Great job Gary! And now I don't have to go!! I owe you! lol
Taking all 3 vids to show your daughter is a wonderful compliment, Rad Joe. You've made my day. God was also kind to me that day... he sent the woman who made the desperate dash for the train as the doors were closing (what a gem), the wedding couple having trouble with the bride's gown, and the fiddler. And of course, a magnificent winter's day with lots of blue sky and sunshine.
And yes I appreciate that you're busier than the wall applicator you mentioned JustinO, but I also appreciate your taking the time to checkout my latest extravaganza. Cost me five bucks to tip that fiddler! Naturally, I'll claim it as a tax deduction.
And you're right, Jim. Sydney is indeed a beautiful city. Not even Melbournians or Brisbanites could deny that. Next time I'm there (November) I'll shoot stuff I didn't have time for last week. It's a BIG town! And these old legs ain't what they useta was.
