Seems like my original comment posted a couple of days ago disappeared into the ether. Oh well... don't ask me to repeat it... it was one of those inspired things you can only write once.
However, I believe that Joe said what he said to pave the way for Barack to follow suit... to make it easier for Barack to slide into the pro equality movement. It's all happening folks: same sex marriage is becoming a reality.
