Walter Burley-Griffin, an American architect and city planner, won an international competition during the early part of the 20th century to design Australia's national capital, Canberra. It's where the Federal House of Parliament is situated. Anyway, Walter had lots of deciduous trees planted along all the boulevards and streets and connecting main roads. Every autumn, the entire city is a blaze of reds, golds, yellows and oranges.
There ya go, who woulda thunk a country famous for its stringy barks and desert mulga would have such a brilliantly colorful display every autumn?

Stunning! Need we more proof that the changeable seasons are the best?
Darn leaves all over my lawn!
I can't find where the dog did his thing. Then we go out to play and, oh! There it is.
No really, I do love autumn too. We're going to the apple orchard this weekend.
