JOHN WILLOUGHBY gives you a thirst to read his Boy of Summer. He is gay and he makes you want to find out what went on in his Life. I will probably get it from the library when it is published. Thanks Justin.
True, J. It certainly happened to me - many times. The funny thing is, I'm wondering if they, in their latter years, still remember me the same way I remember them - as opportunities lost.
I agree, Coop. 'What if' is irrelevant. We remember the things that happened, not that should or could have happened. Hindsight occurs after an event, not before. Hehe.
I read the article. It is 'way beyond the alternatives of funny/interesting/cool. It is amazing, even in its disappointing end. I think the writer rejected the opportunity of a life-time. But a lot of us do that. And I will now follow your blog with great interest.

Sad and familiar
ReplyDeleteWhat a sad story. An opportunity lost because they were scared. It's probably happened to all of us.

ReplyDeleteAnd. . most definitely an opportunity lost . . .but surely made up for. . .ehyah.. lol
