The pace is gathering, but it will be some time before it happens here in Oz, methinks.
While we have the present situation where our political parties have no clear majority and we have to live with coalitions that have worse stability than shifting sands not one of them will make a stand and do what it right.
They are all too scared of their position.....and besides, they have much greater problems and issues to deal with so are unlikely to risk their tenuous hold on their position.
But, possibly, just possibly, with the Queen and Obama and the gathering number of people who are wiling to edge us all toward the legal and political changes we seek, just maybe it will happen here in Oz sooner rather than later..... but we'll have to get through the next election before that stands a chance of getting mention. They have bigger fires to fight.
Obama, then Elizabeth, now leading Republicans. Who's next? It's all the fault of blogs like The Dunes, ya know... leading people astray.
